Killingworth Stores comprises a former WW2 Ministry of Defence depot, which was most recently used as NHS Central Stores. The site extends to 15.79 hectares (39 acres), of which 0.73 hectares (1.8 acres) was previously used as an army cadet training area.The developed former central stores area extends to 1.78 ha(4.40 acres) and includes a large steel framed building with brick infill elevations and corrugated asbestos roof. The building has a gross internal area of 3,000 sq m (32,291 sq ft). There are a number of ancillary buildings adjacent to larger building and hard standing/circulation areas.
